Your first week at the gym: a confident start
A good start leaves you wanting to return. Your first visit does not need to feel like an exam.

Starting with your heaviest attempt is rarely a comfortable approach. A warm-up gives you time to check your readiness.
Begin with gentle walking or another easy activity. Then try easier versions of the planned exercises and build up gradually.
A warm-up does not need to exhaust you. If you notice pain or unusual weakness at the start, reconsider the session rather than covering it with more effort.
